About

Hi! I am Gencay, I let go of my career in banking to dedicate myself to my passion for Yoga. I began practicing yoga in 2011 but Yoga became surprisingly the heart of my life practice in 2018 after 9 years working at the bank as being responsible of international funding. I teach group&private yoga classes in UK and Turkey (via Zoom) since then. I have practiced various styles of yoga including Hatha, Yin, Iyengar, Vinyasa and Ashtanga yoga. I have now over 1000hs training from different styles specialized in Hatha Yoga, Yin Yoga, Meditation & Mindfulness.

After taking ballet classes for 10 years, I had lower back pain and unfortunately had to give up so I always try to find the best solution for my body without hurting myself. I luckily found myself doing yoga which makes me feel relaxed, strong, mindful. The mental part of yoga taught me to trust my intuition. That's why my intention to create awareness in people how to connect with their body using yoga. During Covid-19, we all realize that genuine and sustainable yoga practice supports to continue the evolution of the physical and emotional health of individuals. Exploring inner-self with yoga practice and self-transformation in a comfortable and non-judgmental space is a great opportunity to find how to deal with the struggles. Yoga is for everyone regardless of age, gender and flexibility.
